So the backpacking trip for this weekend fell through but instead we hiked the orange loop in Germantown MetroPark. (http://metroparks.org/Parks/Germantown/Maps.aspx). Myself and two others started around 10am and finished about 1:30pm with 20min break right after the dam. It was a good hike. Exhausting, but good. Sadly I didn't take any pictures... maybe next time.
But, now I can check off 1 more metropark from the list for my goal to visit all of them before I leave Dayton in the fall.

Check out this really interesting study on meat, diet, vegetarianism and toxic chemicals found in food.
Here are two articles covering the same study:

A Dayton Kind of Summer
So my goal this summer before I leave Dayton:
To visit all of the MetroParks, buy local food at the market, bicycle all over, find a place to make pottery, keep a happiness journal, and kayak/canoe at least once a week.
I'll be sure to take pictures and update about all of those.
Yay for summer!
